A Day at Fledglings
Fledglings Pre-School runs out of Devonshire Infant School. We are open term time only and run two sessions across the day. A morning session from 8.45am to 11.45am and an afternoon session from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. A lunch club is also available between 11.45am and 12.30pm if required.
Fees and Funding
At Fledglings the majority of our preschool places go to government funded children aged 3 and 4 who qualify for either 15 or 30 hours of childcare. We may also have availability for 2 year olds if you qualify for this. Contact us to find out how many hours you may be entitled to.
In addition to this we offer sessions outside of your 15 or 30 hours which you can pay for. A 3 hour session (morning or afternoon) is currently charged at £18.00 for 3-4 year olds and £25.00 per session for 2 year olds.
Our lunch club is also available (subject to places) at a cost of £4.00 per day.
Parental Partnership
At Fledglings we strongly believe in building strong relationships, not only with the children we look after, but also you, their parents and carers.
As a result we strive to involve parents at all stages of their child's time with us. This includes a key person for each child reporting back to parents on a regular basis on their child's progress. In addition, we offer stay and play days for parents to get a real understanding of what their child experiences. As well as that we are also very keen for parents to join our committee and take a more active part in the pre-school.

Autumn term: Tuesday 3rd September until Friday 13th December 2024.
Half Term (school closed): Monday 28th October 2024 - Friday 1st November 2024.
Spring Term: Monday 6th January 2025 until Friday 4th April 2025.
Half Term (school closed): Monday 17th February 2025 until Friday 21st February 2025.
Summer Term: Tuesday 22nd April 2025 until Monday 21st July 2025.
Half Term (school closed): Monday 26th May 2025 until Friday 30th May 2025.
At Fledglings we have many policies and procedures that help with the running of the setting, including our safeguarding policy.
